Found in the great Egyptian tombs, frankincense resin was given as an offering to help the departed souls journey to the afterlife. At one time, this resin was worth much more than gold and was so precious that it was given to Jesus as one of the gifts from the three wise men.

The best way to burn resin is with a charcoal round. Light the charcoal round in a fireproof dish, and as it begins to turn white, carefully drop a few pieces of resin onto the charcoal. Both the charcoal and resin will continue to burn and emit its beautiful scent until they have burnt completely. If you wish to cleanse your space with resin, use a feather to move the smoke about your room, paying particular attention to corners where negative energy may congregate. To cleanse your crystals, submerge them in the smoke individually.
