Light the top of this smoke cleansing stick and lightly fan it to extinguish any flames and allow the leaves to smolder gently. Holding it over a heatproof container walk through your space. Start at the door of the space to be cleared and move in either the direction in which the door opens (if the door opens into the room) or in a clockwise direction.
