Howlite is a white to grey coloured stone with a distinctive grey-black veining, often used as a substitute for white turquoise. It is also known as the “white buffalo stone” or “white buffalo turquoise” due to its similarities in appearance to the prized native american stone. It is associated with the crown chakra and is said to aid in spiritual awareness, communication, and emotional expression.
